LOC team members of ”Handshake Across The Niger” pay courtesy visit to Rochas Okorocha

The Local Organising Commitee team members of the "Handshake Across The Niger" an initiative of Nzuko Umunna (Ndi-Igbo Think Tank), on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Imo State; H. E. Owelle (Dr.) Anayo Rochas Okorocha.


The team was ably led by it's Chairman Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah who reminded the Governor that the historic event tagged "Handshake Across the Niger" was born in a bid to re-visit, explore, sustain and strengthen the bond between the Igbos and Yorubas as well as advance our mutual coexistence in today's Nigeria.

Gov. Rochas deeply appreciated the effort of the team which is geared towards strengthening the mutual relations between the two regions. He equally assured Nzuko Umunna of his concerned commitment in making sure that the event turns out a success.

The event will be held at the Base Event Center, Independence Layout, Enugu,  Enugu State on 11th January, 2018 by 11am.
