BREAKING: Tanker explodes at Festac link bridge Lagos, Many cars burnt [PHOTOS]

Many persons have been reported injured and cars burnt as a tanker laden with petrol exploded on the Festac Link Bridge in Awuwo Odofin LGA of Lagos State.

The tanker reportedly lost control on the link bridge and fell, spilling the content which resulted in a large conflagration.


According to an eyewitness, occupants in nearby vehicles managed to escape while a lot of vehicles in the traffic and those parked nearby were burnt.

The link bridge is blocked now, and there's a serious holdup along Amuwo and Mile two axis.

The Lagos firefighters came to the scene but were unable to quench the fire because of shortage of water.
