Ozubulu Massacre: Who Is "Bishop" Nnamdi Ikegwuonu? (See His Complete Profile And Photos)

High Chief Aloysius Nnamdi Ikegwuonu (Ebubechukwuzo, Akuchinyere Nwata 1, Uzochukwu kwalu 1 of Umueje, The Bishop) is a native of Ofufe Amakwa Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State.
He was born in 1981 to the family of Chief Ikegwuonu of Amakwa Ozubulu.

He grew up in a very poor home and often helped his mother who trades at Orie Akpu market, Off Ugwu Orie Bus Stop, Amakwa Ozubulu.

'Aloyee' as fondly called by his friends in his early youth stage, first came to limelight in 1999 when he became the senior prefect of Comprehensive Secondary School, C.S.S., (formerly College of Basic Studies, C.B.S.) Egbema Ozubulu; a school founded by Reverend Father Nwabaju Izuchi, a United States based Catholic priest.

After his May/June WASSCE examination in the year 2000, he traveled out to South Africa on March 2001 where he became a multi millionaire within his first four months of his stay in SA. Multiple reports claimed he was into hard drugs.

He came back nine months later (December 2001) and splashed his money around which reportedly tricked many young men, especially his former classmates to follow him to South Africa. He celebrated his 36th birthday on May 1st, 2017.

In 2015, a gang war broke out in South Africa between two drug cartels which led to death of over 15 people, both in South Africa and Nigeria.

A South African returnee who narrated the story said the war was all about the control and ownership of what he referred to as "a park"(a place where they sell hard drugs in Johannesbourg, South Africa) which later led to death of a man simply identified as Ginika from Mbaise in Imo state(His former classmate and childhood friend). The South African government has since taken over the place.

So many people, mostly Ozubulu indigenes left South Africa in 2016 when the war was at its peak.

Bishop returned like many others and immediately began community development through his foundation(Ebubechukwu Uzo Foundation).

In April 2017, he was invited by the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano to witness a road construction flag-off in his town.

On the 2nd of May 2014, he gave out N10 million to 10 beneficiaries to start a business. He pays a monthly stipend of N10,000 to widows and aged people in his town Ozubulu. He has been doing that till date.

He also scheduled another program for the widows on September 29th 2017 in commemoration of his wife's birthday.

Below is a breakdown of what he has done since he back to Nigeria.

  3. These set of people condemning bishop were the ones praising him when he was dashing out money both to the big and small in Ozubulu. I did not see why he should be condemned because he did not sent people to go and massacre innocent worshippers, there must always be enemies and misunderstandings in line of business but for someone to enter the church premises and kill innocent worshippers is not justifiable in any way. So bishop should be compelled to assist in arrest of the people behind this wicked act, because if the story is true then; it is certain he (bishop) knows the shooters. I only voiced my mind.
